He was a notorious 19th century stagecoach robber(Who also wrote poetry). He was eventually bough off by the Wells Fargo Company,because they were sick and tired of him robbing their stagecoaches. Blackbeard-aka William Teach- was a notorious 17th century pirate, who,incidentally is reputed to have buried a huge trove of loot somewhere on the North Carolina coast.
