What is Streaming?
Is a stream similar to a live broadcast?
Yes! A stream event like ours is just like a live broadcast – think Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve – but instead of watching on a TV through a cable box, you can watch from your computer or mobile device (like a phone or a tablet) over the internet.
With streaming, you can also re-watch the recording anytime you want (for Kisses & Quips, you have access to the recording for up to one week after the show).
What does it mean to stream?
To stream simply refers to viewing an event via the internet instead of via cable – no need to clamber up onto the roof to adjust that pesky dish. All you need is access to the internet and an internet browser such as Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox.
Where can I watch a stream event?
Streaming allows you to watch Kisses and Quips in real time wherever you can access the internet. There’s no need to leave early to avoid traffic or stand in line to get a good seat – there’s no commute time, and the best seat in the house is your couch… or your car… or your bedroom… or wherever you may be!
If you don’t have internet access or a computer at home, check with your local library or call up friends and family for help.
